Changes coming

It seems that Blogger, at long last, will be dropping support for FTP-published blogs in March. A few of you fearless readers have urged me to switch over to WordPress, and it looks like I'll be doing that out of necessity, instead of choice, in the near future.

Please bear with me as I inevitably blow the place up a few times, and accidentally translate all the content into Portuguese.

Hi JD - as noted in the e-mail, Blogger's Custom Domains feature is an option for you. Have you considered it? If so, can you share why it won't work for you?

You've most likely considered it, but I thought I'd mention that Tumblr is an option too.

Duff,

I'll take another look at Tumblr -- thanks!

Rick,

I already own a domain, and it's hosted, along with my Website, elsewhere. I'd like to keep everything together, if possible.

@JD - Got it. I host my blog at tins.rklau.com, while keeping lots of other stuff on my "main" domain (www.rklau.com), but if that's not an option, I understand. Good luck.

Não tema a mudança. E aprenda o português.

Point taken, Anonymous. But my fumbling attempts may be more of a problem for some than for others. ;)

JD, if I can do it, anybody can do it. And it turns out, I actually like WP better.

Well I just an economics blog successfully under WORDPRESS - see my Name and can but recommend it. What I dn't know is howwell the transition would go. By the way, I have just added a Reference List to my economics blog with economic data series, history, bibliographies etc. for students & researchers. Currently over 200 meta sources, it will in the next days grow to over a thousand. Check it out and if you miss something, feel free to leave a comment.
