Ron Paul moves up in the polls

A new poll from St. Anselm College's Institute of Politics and SRBI Research shows Ron Paul at 7.4% among likely New Hampshire primary voters. That puts him behind Romney, Giuliani and McCain (in that order), but ahead of Huckabee and Thompson.

Hmmm ... Do you think the pundits will admit that this takes Paul out of "the fringe," now that he's pulling more interest than "serious" candidates Thompson and Huckabee?

Update: Full poll available here.

It'd be nice but I doubt it. Brownback was first in Kansas (his homestate) and never considered out of the fringe.

Ron Paul will win the nomination hands down. Only a little over 20 million Republicans voted in the primary in 2000, Ron Paul's massive support base will likely show up to vote near the 100% range while many neocons will stay home or their shrinking base isn't likely to have much of an impact on the vote tally.
